Dental Sleep Medicine
April 10-14, 2014
It is estimated that more than 20% of Americans suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB), and problems such as snoring and Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS). This translates to an enormous segment of our patient population being subject to the comorbidities of OSA, ranging from hypertension to congestive heart failure to stroke to early death from heart attack. Untreated SDB can also contribute to TMD, bruxism, GERD, and the destruction of the stomatognathic system, directly affecting our ability to predictably treat our dental patients.
Participants will have the opportunity to wear a home sleep monitor, as well as adjust and wear their own oral appliance while at the course!

Refund/Cancellation Policy: A $1000 non-refundable, transferable deposit is due at the time of registration and course tuition balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the first day of the course attended. Course cancellations made less than 45 days prior to the start of the course will incur a $250.00 administrative fee to be deducted from the deposit. Course cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start of the course will incur a $500.00 administrative fee to be deducted from the deposit. The Pankey Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course with advance notice to registrant, and refunds will be provided. Faculty is subject to change without penalty to the Institute. In no event shall the Institute be liable for any cancellation or change penalties assessed by the airlines, hotels, or car rentals as a result of the course date changes or cancellations. All requests for date transfers and cancellations must be made in writing. Please allow 3 weeks for processing of refunds. Transfer Policy: All remaining deposit monies will be held in the participant’s account to be used toward a future course. If these monies are not applied to a course within 18 months they will be deemed a donation to the Institute.
By registering for this course, permission is hereby granted, unless a written request is received, to use any and all photographic imagery and video footage taken of the participant at this event and activities pertaining to this event, without payment or other consideration. It is understood that such materials may be published electronically or in print, or used in presentations or exhibitions.
The Pankey Institute is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The Pankey Institute designates The Implant Essentials Course as 45 continuing education credits and
Dental Sleep Medicine as 43 continuing education credits.
